BLUE LAGOON Ribbed jacket & hat (063)
This pattern uses about 20-25g of Aran or “full bodied” worsted weight yarn (here used Premier Everyday in color Lagoon) and about 60-65g of any smooth thinner solid color yarn (here used is Caron Simply Soft in white). Yarns and trim colors can be complimentary / matching or contrasting.
This is a quick and easy project.
This particular pattern is written for a full bodied 18” doll.
Every new yarn and color combination is an opportunity for new fun look.
The pattern is based on texture created by Fisherman’s rib stitch when combined with stockinette stitch.
Rib stitch is soft and fluffy. The Hat for this pattern can be knit in a round (using DPN or circular needles), or flat (using straight needles) and seamed.
Uses about 1/4 of the skein of patterned yarn and about 1/3 of the
solid color yarn stated in this pattern. So you could probably make at
least 3 of these sets from just 2 skeins of yarn.
